As the Chief Operating Officer of Apollo Global, Inc., Mr. Patel drives the expansion of Apollo Global into the Asia, Middle East, and Africa geographies. Mr. Patel identifies acquisitions and partnerships to expand Apollo Global’s portfolio of education assets in these markets. In addition, Mr. Patel is also responsible for the development and rollout of an international education services offering.
Mr. Patel joins Apollo Global from Kaplan, Inc., where he was President of the Kaplan Professional Publishing and Kaplan Professional Schools divisions. Prior to joining Kaplan, Mr. Patel served in various leadership positions with Thomson Learning (now Cengage Learning) and served as the leader of the company’s engagement with its largest client, General Motors.
Mr. Patel began his career with the Leo Burnett Company, one of the world's largest marketing and advertising firms. During his tenure with the agency, Mr. Patel worked with blue-chip clients such as Kellogg and Hallmark to develop and implement award-winning marketing strategies and advertising campaigns.
Mr. Patel received his BS in Advertising with concentration in Business Administration from the University of Illinois. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of The Great Books Foundation.
